Those Who Carry Us

In the video titled Those Who Carry Us, inspiration is drawn from silent film, particularly Charlie Chaplin and his character “The Tramp.” We follow the inner landscape of a dancer moving through public space, before transitioning into the outer space of the dance stage. The film stems from the fragile economic and social status of cultural workers in Swedens society, connected to the Swedish government’s lack of interest in culture, inflation and rising poverty.
